17 jewel signed hand winding Swiss lever movement, Omega cal.283, nr.12289916, Breguet hairspring, indirect center seconds, Incablock shock protection, index regulator, antimagnetic, chronometer quality,

BPH 18000, power reserve 45h. Impeccable condition, no trace of wear or corrosion.

Case

More than excellent signed stainless steel (Acier Staybrite) screw back stepped case, Reference nr.2537-10, diameter case without crown: 35mm

Dial

Excellent Omega signed original, light salmon colored dial;

a very beautiful dial with luminicent markers and Arabic numerals.

In the subtle outer minute track the 5 minute-steps are indicated in superfine lettering.

Luminiscent hands, blued sweep seconds, new plastic crystal.

Hands and markers no longer glow after 75 years.

Crown

Omega signed crown winds smoothly.

Stem winding and stem set.

Strap

New genuine (period) leather strap, 18mm

Commend

This very elegant watch with stepped case and lovely dial has the typical classic minimalist look from the fifties.

The watch is multiple signed and in very nice condition and is well running. 

For the best chronometer quality service is recommended.

The legendary caliber 30T2 SC RG set numerous records at observatory contests. The earlier chronometer wristwatches by Omega had this caliber.

The 280 (sweep second) family has index regulation and the 283 is antimagnetic.

This watch is a wonderful addition to the collection of every Omega enthousiast.
