Hammersley & Co Bone China 5780 Imari Teacup & Saucer

Selling a rare, gorgeous Hammersley & Co. Imari style teacup and saucer. This piece is from Hammersley's 5780 set of bone china, and is in a wonderful state of preservation. The bottoms of each are adorned with Hammersley's "leaf and crown" company logo variations, indicating a post-1939 production date. This teacup and saucer set bear gold gilt style designs and complex geometric patterns surrounding a flowery motif. There are no chips or cracks. This teacup and saucer were stored in a climate controlled environment in a Tulsa, OK enthusiast's collection. Minor crazing typical of bone china, and minor wear to the gilding. Hammersley & Co. was founded in 1862, and produced some of England's finest bone chinaware. Pieces from this collection are exceedingly rare - only popping up every few years.
