*PELÍCULA PROBADA* {RA} CÁMARA WIRGIN EDINEX 35MM CON LENTE EDINAR 50mm F2.8
Wirgin was a German company which is still known for its brands Wirgin and >Edixa, and for its camera types like the Edina, the Edinex or the Gewirette. It was based in the Hessian capital Wiesbaden and made a line of quite inexpensive 35mm SLRs from the 1950s to the 1970s, including the Edixa Reflex and Edixa-Mat Reflex. Wirgin was West Germany's main producer of SLRs with focal plane shutter. It also produced some of the lenses for its cameras, among them several M42 screw mount lenses.
Wirgin was founded by the brothers Heinrich Max and Joseph Wirgin in 1920. This 73 year old Edinex 1 model dates back to 1949.
This rare camera is in goog condition considering it's age. The body is scratch, blemish and dent free. These cameras were engineered to last a lifetime. The fact that it has been kept in it's original case all these years obviously contributes to the fine condition. The shutter is snappy and it functions pretty well at all shutter speeds. We can obviously not guarantee accuracy. The shutter button does not seem to work, but the shutter triggers happily with a shutter release cable (supplied). The Edinar lens is in great condition - clear and free of haze, scratches and fungus. There is no dust in the lens. Focus and aperture movements are silky smooth. There is some paint loss on the black ring where the apertures are set. Please note that the film advance is tricky and one has to alternate between R and V to properly advance the film. Comes with it's original leather camera case, which is in good condition. This is a very rare camera and one seldom finds them in working condition, so do not miss this one!
