Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) Powder • Ideal for Bubble Making • Pharmaceutical Grade

HEC purified hydroxyethyl cellulose ethers designed for use in a wide range of non-food applications. HEC is an efficient viscosity and rheology modifier, stabiliser, water retention aid and suspending agent.

HEC is easily dissolved in cold or hot water to give crystal-clear solutions of varying viscosities. 

HEC has applications in multiple markets including adhesives and sealants, advanced ceramics, building and construction, ceramics, pottery and porcelain, commercial and institutional, oil and gas technologies, metal castings and foundry, paint and coatings, personal care pharmaceutical and pulp and paper.

 

HEC is used as a binder, bond strengthener, cement extender, coating and optical brightener aid, coating polymer, filtration control additive, green strength enhancer, protective colloid, rebound or slumping reducer, rheology controller and modifier, lubricity and workability enhancer, suspension and stabilization agent, shape retention enhancer and thickener.

Gunge / Slime:

The HEC can be mixed with water to create a bucket of gunge. Add 100 - 150g of the HEC powder to 10-12 litres of luke warm water and briskly mix with your hand for a couple of minutes.

Giant Bubbles:

Following various recipes online, add a small amount of our Natrosol HEC to your mixture and you’ll have giant bubbles in no time at all!

Hand Sanitizer:

Can be used to thicken isopropyl alcohol when making sanitizer.

Postage & Packaging

The powder is placed inside a grip seal bag and labelled. All parcels are shipped in gold jiffy bags or for larger orders cardboard boxes.

UK Postage:

We will send via Royal Mail 2nd Class.  We aim to dispatch these orders every Tuesday & Thursday . Delivery will be up to 3 days from dispatch depending on Royal Mails delivery schedule.

We also offer a 'DPD Next Day'  upgrade which is usually dispatched within 24hrs, Monday to Friday. Most deliveries are next day/two days. DPD will email/text you detailed tracking including a 1hr time slot. This service is fully amendable via the DPD app. Select this in your basket.

We ship worldwide! The same packaging rules apply, however for orders outside UK, a customs declaration label / invoice will be attached to the exterior of the package which will include company details, the contents, weight and price. 

From February 2021, we will be using ebay's Global Shipping Programme to send international parcels. We will send the parcel to their UK hub and ebay will handle the rest. This will keep the postage price much lower for you :)
