Fast rein weiße Zuchtform dieser Aglaonema aus Zentralamerika. Langsam wachsende Schattenpflanze, dafür aber sehr robust.

Du erhältst eine ca. 20 bis 30 cm hohe Pflanze im 12cm Topf.

• Beschreibung: 

  Aglaonema commutatum kommt ursprünglich aus Zentralamerika und dem nördlichen Südamerika und wächst dort im Unterwuchs der Regenwälder. Es gibt von dieser Art zahlreiche Zuchtformen, und ‘White Joy’ ist dabei eine der schönsten. Diese Zuchtform mit fast rein weißen (aber trotzdem sehr stabilen) Blättern fällt sofort ins Auge. Der Rand der Blätter und die Hauptader sind grün mit einigen grünen Sprenkeln entlang der Ränder. Auch von unten sind die Blätter weiß. Sie wächst eher langsam und blüht ebenfalls rein weiß.

• Pflege:

  Aglaonema mögen loses, luftdurchlässiges Substrat. Sie können in normale Blumenerde getopft werden. Diese sollte allerdings etwas aufgelockert werden, z.B. mit Perlit. Das Substrat sollte nicht vollständig austrocknen.

  Aglaonema wachsen im schattigen Unterwuchs von Regenwäldern, oft in der Nähe von Bächen und Flüssen, entsprechend mögen sie halbschattige Bedingungen und hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit.

  Gedüngt werden kann ganz normal mit Grünpflanzendünger.

• Description:

  Aglaonema commutatum is native to Central America and northern South America, where it grows in the undergrowth of the rainforests. There are many cultivars of this species, and ‘White Joy’ is one of the most beautiful. This cultivar with almost pure white (but still very sturdy) leaves immediately catches the eye. The edge of the leaves and the main vein are green with some green speckles along the edges. The leaves are also white from below. It grows rather slowly and also blooms pure white.

• Care:

  Aglaonema like loose, airy substrate. They can be potted in regular potting soil. However, this should be loosened up somewhat, for example with perlite. The substrate should not dry out completely.

  Aglaonema grow in the shady understory of rainforests, often near streams and rivers, so they like semi-shady conditions and high humidity.

  Fertilisation can be done as per instructions with regular houseplant fertiliser.
