*** ANTIQUE STEREOSCOPE VIEWER ***
There are no other makes marks to this, but is a 'Brewster' style viewer, and dates to around the 1890's, possibly earlier. Made of solid wood, which looks like mahogany. Very rare! Takes old antique Stereoview slides, which you simply slide inside the viewer, to the slot behind the large diffuser window.
The viewer is in good condition for its age, but does have 2 fractures to the wood to 2 corners (see final 2 photos). The viewing lenses are very good for their age, the mirror inside has cracked down the middle and has age related wear, and the wood has some scuffs and scratches. Inside, it also looks like there is a small section missing from between the lenses. It is still very good considering it is well over 100 years old though. See photos.
Measures 19.5cm wide at it widest side, 16.5cm from back to front, and 10.5cm from top to bottom, also at the larger end.
