Canon EF Fit 28mm F/2.8 Wide Angle Macro Lens

This fantastic hand made lens features a high quality metal build and high levels of optical performance to help take your photography to the next level including a close up/macro mode which is uncommon for wide angle lenses. The 28mm focal length lends itself to landscape work but on Canon EOS cameras with APS-C size sensors, the lens also makes a great general purpose lens with the fast F/2.8 aperture enabling the user to use shallow depth of field to isolate subjects. The fast aperture also allows for higher shutter speeds, meaning the lens continues to be usable in light levels that would cause slower lenses to succumb to shake induced blurring. On top of all that, the lens also has another trick up it's sleeve! A close focusing marco mode. The combination of wide angle + close focusing really gives a unique perspective and opens up some real creative avenues, helped by the unusually smooth bokeh for a wide angle optic. Wide angle lenses that are well optimised for close up image quality are a rare phenomenon! This classic lens really delivers the goods and at an affordable price, if you want to progress from the limited creative possibilities of your DSLR kit lens, and start taking shallow focus shots without breaking the bank then this is the lens for you! This lens is ideal for a multitude of subjects such as animals and wildlife, portraits, selective landscape, wide angle close ups, architecture and many more! The lens is a manual optic, and hence focusing and aperture must be adjusted manually but the camera will still provide automatic exposure when used in "AV" mode! I recommend using the camera in liveview mode for focusing, as you can zoom in, and get the focus just right! I even use this manual focusing technique with my autofocus lenses, if I have time, as it often results in sharper focus than the camera can manage by itself!

A few specks of dust, as is the case with all used lenses, but nothing that affects IQ. As you can see from the sample images, the lens is performing brilliantly!
