Seller: stubbornoak (657) 100%, Location: Salisbury, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 143518587566 Ancient stone cutting implement. Marked "Thebes and waterworn" It was collected by a very distant relation of mine who was a known amateur archaeologist in the early 1900s. His name was De Barri Crawshay and he lived in Kent. He collected a great deal and most of it was eventually sold to the British Museum. I have some remainders! This item is marked in Indian ink "Thebes" which must indicate from where it was acqired. This item is of considerable historic interest. This means that if it is sold outside the UK I will need to apply for an export licence (At no cost to the buyer) but there will be a delay of about 28 days before I can post it. If a licence is refused (which I consider unlikely) I will of course refund all payments. To avoid unnecessary paperwork on a low cost item, all winning bids from outside the UK must be for at least £100. Dispatched with Royal Mail tracked postage Provenance: Ownership History Available, Colour: Brown, Type: cutting tool
