Lieferumfang: – EmuSer – USB-Kabel – Datenkabel Emax-PC – CD mit Software, Anleitungen und Sounds – Gedruckte Kurzanleitung Mit dem „EmuSer“ kann man Banks und einzelne Sound-WAVs über die serielle Schnittstelle des EMAX vom Computer in den EMAX reinladen und auch umgekehrt vom EMAX auf den PC übertragen. Der EmuSer funktioniert mit Windows XP und höher (z.B. Windows 7 64bit). Zum Lieferumfang des EmuSer gehört eine CD mit einer großen Sammlung an Bank-Images (inkl. Factory Sounds). Diese können mit dem Programm EMXP durch den EmuSer direkt auf den Emax geladen werden und dann auf Disketten gespeichert werden oder direkt am PC auf Disketten. Außerdem enthält die CD die Software für den Datentransfer (EMXP), Treiber für den EmuSer und Anleitungen. Dieses Gerät ist nicht im Handel erhältlich, sondern muss speziell angefertigt werden. Es gibt wohl USB-Seriell-Verbindungskabel, jedoch sind diese technisch nicht mit den Emu-Samplern kompatibel und funktionieren in diesem Zusammenhang nicht. HINWEIS: Bei der Nutzung mit einem EMAX II gibt es leider eine Einschränkung. Man kann keine BANKs vom EMAX II runterladen auf den PC. Das Reinladen von BANK-Images geht ohne Probleme. Diese Einschränkung liegt nicht am EmuSer, sondern daran, dass das OS der EMAX II diese Funktion leider nicht bietet. Herunterladen von einzelnen Sound-Waves funktioniert allerdings. Für diese Einschränkung gibt es aber einen Workaround. Man kann die Bank zunächst mit dem Emax II auf Diskette speichern und anschließend von dieser Diskette am PC ein Bank-Image erstellen. Somit hat man die Bank über einen kleinen Umweg ebenfalls auf dem PC und kann Sie wieder bei Bedarf über den EmuSer an den EMAX II senden. This restriction is not on EmuSer, but because the OS of EMAX II does not support this functionality. Downloading individual Sound Waves works, however. For this limitation, there is a workaround. The bank can be stored on a floppy disk in the EMAX II and then a disk image can be made on the PC. This way you have it stored on the PC and can load it into the EMAX II via the EmuSer again.
