The Plants

This is now my ninth season of selling rare and interesting snowdrops on Ebay but I have been growing and breeding snowdrops for thirty-five years. You can buy from me in confidence that you will receive the correct snowdrop.

All of the snowdrops I sell are of flowering size and either will be in bud or be in flower or will have flowered this season. We try to supply all plants with a daughter bulb but this may not be possible for some of the real rarities. All should be disease free and of the best quality.

All of my snowdrops are grown either in pots or in beds with specially improved soil to reduce root damage or disturbance when lifted for sale.

The Auction

This auction is for one bulb supplied in the green.

I always run my auctions at a 99pence starting price, without a reserve, as I have total faith in my snowdrops finding their true value. People repeatedly buy from me as they know I am very reliable. 

I am selling many rare and interesting snowdrops in the green so please add me to your favourite sellers list and become the first to know when we list something interesting.

We don’t list anything that isn’t specifically set aside for Ebay sales.

The Delivery

As I am dealing with fragile plants in active growth, please be patient as regards delivery. Factors that may delay postage include the weather, particularly very cold or wet conditions. I would rather do the best for the plant and for you even if it means losing points on delivery times. Information on how to care for your plant is included in every parcel.

I will aim to post as soon as payment is received (Paypal) but it may take up to 14 days from receipt of payment before the snowdrop is sent. Most orders are processed within four days. If you want to be notified when it is sent please ask.

The postage fee includes all the materials and labour involved as well as the Post Office charges.

I have a rolling programme of order collation, packing and posting and I usually post on Mondays and Tuesdays. If you specifically request it, then I can take your plants to events I am attending in the U.K. and Germany.

I will do combined postage for multiple items wherever I can, however, the costs involved in posting to the E.U. may mean this is not possible.

Postage cannot be combined after payment is made . If you are bidding on several items or intend to build up a collection over a period of days then please delay payment until you have contacted me. I can then send an invoice for multiple items after you have won several. Please ask me about this.

The snowdrop will be well packed. If you check my feedback from the last eight seasons when I was trading as MROHOWES you will see how happy people are with the quality of my packing. All parcels are posted first class and marked as ‘Live Plants’. Orders above a certain value are always sent by Airsure/Track and Sign/Recorded Delivery. If you request Airsure etc it will cost extra (usually up to £10 more). The parcels will be insured up to the maximum currently permitted by the Post Office.

I will not ship outside of the E.U. because of C.I.T.E.S. legislation, but am happy to post anywhere within.
