I have found only two types of harp shells in my life, both on Kwajalein, and almost all of them I found on the beach after a storm, and I'll tell you, they were a joy to find! Almost indestructible, it was a rare occasion when I didn't find whole shell, and I probably found way more than we brought back from there, but unfortunately, my habit was, when I got back from my beachcombing trips, (on insistence from my mom) to throw everything I found under the wooden stairs, the stairs leading to the front door of the trailer we lived in. I know it sounds like a good idea, shells brought back from the beach do have a strong seaweedy smell to them, which would've been intolerable in the confined space of the trailer, but... well, it must have been months before we discovered one night that my stash under the stairs was a treasure-trove for hermit crabs! That's right, I would go out and fill up my pockets with shells during the daytime, and the hermit crabs at night would carry back to the beach everything they could make off with! . That's shell collecting! . Anyhow, as the photos show, this red GEM with its vivid color, magnificent pattern, glossy, ribbed body, and beautiful lip, is another terrific beauty that will look fantastic sitting on your shelf! The perfect shell for a first-class collection. As for normal disclaimers, we do the best we can with photos, but color is tricky, especially since cell phone cameras automatically lean towards flesh-tone coloring, (that's why so many of the photos of shells on eBay show up with more orange than is really there, the camera changes the color, and damm if I can figure out how to stop that from happening, but I try, honest! As for feedback, as your know, sellers live and die by the feedback you leaved, (please leave fives!) so if you have a problem, just let me know! After all, I'm retired, and all messages go directly to my phone, so unless I'm out shell collecting I will get back to you pronto-like! Shell collecting!
