are the original "Classic Lens Protectors" which are designed and
created by myself. They are made to meticulous standards and I provide
unrivaled support. It seems that many people are now copying them and
selling them for a reduced price. They also refer to them as "deluxe"
yet some show MY 'deluxe' photos and are clearly shipping their version
of my 'classic'. To be sure you are getting the best possible product,
please bear in mind that mine are the originals and not copies. After
writing the above, it seems that some of the copy cat sellers are now
accusing ME of copying THEIR work, so just want to put the record
straight. I originally discovered the well known "Thingiverse" design
back in Oct 2016 and printed it for my own PSVR, but found it had (and
still has) a fundamental design fault. I contacted the designer who
advised he wasn't interested in fixing it and told me to modify his
design. Since I had people interested in buying them from me and didn't
want to rip off his work I made a completely new design, improving on
the original and fixing the flaw and this was launched on October 30th
2016. At this point I then started work on improving the product and
adding the rubber entitlement and came up with a few designs, that I
called "Plus" and "Deluxe". The 'Deluxe' version was released on
November 15th 2016, but 'Plus' never made it out of prototyping with the
few in existence supplied to people to evaluate. At this time, I
re-branded the original version to "Classic" which is sold along side my
"Deluxe" version. So whilst I obviously didn't invent the words
"Classic" and "Deluxe" its the words I used to describe my product and
anyone else describing theirs the same is plagiarizing my work. If
anyone claims that I am copying their work, the evidence is here on eBay
to show this is not the case. My products have been on sale in their
current state since late 2016, and I have not changed them since. *** Please see my feedback to re-assure you of the quality of the product and support I offer *** There have been countless reports of owners scratching their PSVR lenses, especially when used by people who wear glasses. I am offering a bespoke 3D printed "guard" that sticks either side of the lenses in the headset, which stops glasses from touching the lenses (See attached photo) With the "guards" in place, the glasses cannot come closer than 5mm to the lenses (More or less depending on the design of your glasses), and this greatly reduces the risk of scratches. **
NB. If you are one of the tiny minority (less than 0.1%) who find that
their glasses still touch the lenses when the protectors are installed,
please give me chance to rectify this before filing a dispute or leaving
non-positive feedback. I can make a custom pair to your specifications
and will replace them at my cost, so please give me chance ** They are totally invisible when in use, and do not have any physical or visual impact to non-glasses wearers. On the back is a strong clear "jelly" double sided adhesive which is cut to shape. To install them, you just peal of the red backing and stick them on.. If you change your mind, you can simply bend or twist the protector and then the "jelly" can be easily be removed and will do no harm to the headset as no residue is left. Considering the PSVR lenses are non-replaceable and Sony UK do not acknowledge scratches under warranty, this is a tiny price to pay to add a bit of protection. Even if you do not wear glasses, please consider adding these, a lot of my customers have bought them to protect their lenses when demonstrating their PSVR to friends/family who do (and are not likely to be as careful) Please see my feedback for some comments from my customers about this item if you are in any doubt about, their function, usefulness or my service in general..
