It is of a so-called Abbevillian style and consists of a thick weighted proximal butt, thick lateral edges and a very robust distal point. It has a wedged shaped profile with two sharp sinuous lateral edges from end to end, both of which converge to the distal point. Both faces retain large cortical areas within the hard to work flint nodule depressions. The tool is in an exceptional condition with attractive shiny patina.
