This superb Neanderthal made tool has been created on a thick flint flake. The ventral face has an appealing yellow marbled vein through the middle. The proximal butt is beveled with the dorsal side retaining some original cortex. This section of the tool appears to have served as a robust beveled end scraper, perhaps for shaving wood?
