This superb Neanderthal made axe has been created on a thick flint flake and is partially bifaced. It is triangular in plan with a fine trihedral distal point and slightly twisted lateral edges. The dorsal face retains a large cortical area with the only the edges having been worked. The proximal end is flat and can be stood on it's end. This tool is in an exceptional condition and would make a great addition to a collection.
