Seller: stubbornoak (657) 100%, Location: Salisbury, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 143539029124 Pair of Palaeolithic flint spear heads. One looks finished with a sharp point. The other looks unfinished with the very tip of the point broken off (see photo) Maybe the craftsman abandoned it when the tip was broken. It is probably just as well that his swear words are not recorded!!!! They were collected by a very distant relation of mine who was a known amateur archaeologist in the early 1900s. His name was De Barri Crawshay and he lived in Kent. He collected a great deal and most of it was eventually sold to the British Museum. I have some remainders! This item is of considerable historic interest. This means that if it is sold outside the UK I will need to apply for an export licence (At no cost to the buyer) but there will be a delay of about 28 days before I can post it. If a licence is refused (which I consider very unlikely) I will of course refund all payments. To avoid unnecessary paperwork on a low cost item, all winning bids from outside the UK must be for at least £100. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class. Provenance: Ownership History Available, Colour: mid grey and beige, Culture: Prehistoric, Type: Spear Head, Material: Flint
