Mechanical condition: The rack and pinion focussing is working ok but does slip quite a lot! There is a slot for waterhouse stops but non included!
Mocked up on my camera it appears to form a nice sharp image and does appear to cover 5x4" format well, much better than most 150mm petzval's that I have tested! (appears to have little-no vignetting at infinity that I can see but with some softening at edges as expected with the petzval design). Also faster than most 150mm petzvals that I have come across. You could possibly remove the internal housing for waterhouse stop if so desired and then it would be even faster!(approx. F2.9!) It comes with a flange/retaining ring that is slightly buckled/warped making it very difficult to screw on and off! However it is ready to mount to a camera of your choice! Measurements approx. Forgot to mention: A nice bonus of this lens is that the front group housing can be screwed in place of the rear group at the rear of the lens(both front & rear have exact same size threads). By using the front achromat group alone the focal length becomes approx 260mm and works as a landscape/soft focus portrait lens. Not all petzval lenses are able to do this so thought I would mention it. Thank you and good luck if you decide to bid!
