Introduced in 1995 this fountain pen has engraved in the cap girdle: Legacy 22, June 1995. The numbered pen is part of the
first pens that were introduced and thus numbered. “To meet the demands of today's consumers, Sheaffer has created a distinctly
modern design which blends 1950's styling with 1990's precision engineering-Legacy…The Touchdown Refill Mechanism... exterior
refilling system uses a 23K gold electroplate Sheaffer convertor for no mess filling... the unique pressure release system allows filling
in two simple strokes and eliminates the need to dismantle the pen... can also accept standard Sheaffer cartridges…The cap's live
action clip has an inner spring for adjustable yet consistently firm grip… The 18K gold inlaid nib is also a Sheaffer exclusive... The
design exposes more gold for firm, flexible responsiveness... Sheaffer's ruthenium ball tip ensures long life and smooth strokes. The
heft and durability of a Legacy writing instrument resulf from its wide diameter and the metal barrel construction underneath the
lustrous black laque... The cap can be removed entirely while writing or kept on the barrel's end for equally comfortable writing

box and instruction booklet. The nib is medium point. Carefully read instructions so that you don’t damage the pen or Touchdown
Refill Mechanism. The barrel fits tightly to the nib section with a rubber washer, see pictures. You can see the 23k gold electroplate
converter when you take the barrel off .
