Early Vintage Diamond / Duchess Bone China Tea Set
Hostess Set / Tennis Set / Teacup, Tea plate / Saucer.
A white glazed, scalloped bone china with a desirable and well designed base
as a saucer and tea plate combined, including an indentation for a teacup.
Accompanied by a footed, ridged and scalloped cup with a looped handle.
"Comes with an indentation as you can see, to prevent wobbles and room for your
cake or biscuits, to have with your tea"
In a very pretty and bright, traditional design.
Floral sprays of baby pink wild roses and violets with buds and leaves.
All edged and trimmed with gilding.
The teacup : Blyth Porcelain Co Ltd as Diamond China 1905 - 1935.
The base : A. T. Finney & Sons of The Duchess China Works, Longton, Staffordshire.
From c 1947 - 1960.
Clear & different back stamps but both items are a set and from the same factory although one
earlier than the other, so was possibly inherited and in the stock room!
Length 8.25" / 21 cm.
Widest diameter 5.25" / 13.5 cm.
Cup height 2.75" / 7 cm.
Comes in excellent, clean condition
with no chips, cracks, scratches or restoration.
The pattern is still very clear and bright with no fading.
The gilding is in very good condition too & appears to be unused.
A very desirable and beautiful set, not often seen or for sale and in such
lovely condition which would make a good addition to your tea ware collection, display and perfect
for an Early Vintage present.
