WW2 Scout Regiment MK I S Sniper Telescope by H.C.R. & SON Good Condition

This is a
good example of the

WWII

Snipers Telescope

produced by Broadhurst and Clarkson.

In my estimation it dates from around WWII circa 1940, but please make up your own mind about this.

The telescope measures approx 31 3/4 inches (810mm) long, fully extended, and 10 1/4 inches (260mm) folded up.

along with the government issue

Broad Arrow (Crow's Foot) mark.

It is made from solid brass, with a leather covered body, and has three draw tubes, and a sliding sun shade, which all open and close smoothly.

The tubes are in very good condition, with no dings, splits, damage or repairs.

The object lens measures approx 1 5/8 inches (48mm) in diameter, and is in good condition, with no cracks or chips, and the instrument gives a very good clear, well magnified image (The correct way up.)

The eyepiece incorporates a sliding dust cover with an integral sun filter.

The telescope is a heavy piece made for battlefield use during the second World War, and weighs approx 1110 grams.

  It is in very good condition, no damage or repairs.

This is a very good example of its type.

It would still be fine to use and would make a great addition to any collection.
